Senior Production Geologist

We are recruiting an experienced Senior Production Geologist to support our client’s subsurface development activities and optimize reservoir performance across producing assets. The ideal candidate will integrate geological, geophysical, and production data to enhance field performance, support drilling operations, and deliver high-quality subsurface solutions in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.   Key Responsibilities

•  Contribute to field development planning by integrating geological data to optimize well placement and maximize reservoir performance.
• Perform reservoir characterization using seismic, well logs, and production data to develop and update geological models.
• Provide geological support during drilling operations, including well logging, wellbore monitoring, and formation evaluation.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers, production engineers, geophysicists, and other subsurface teams to optimize reservoir performance and recovery.
• Identify and resolve geological challenges impacting production, including compartmentalization and fluid flow issues.
• Prepare geological reports, presentations, and technical documentation for management and key stakeholders.
• Support subsurface data integration, interpretation workflows, and application of geological datasets for decision-making.

  Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related discipline. Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• 10–15 years’ experience in production geology within an E&P company or operator environment.
• Minimum of 6 years in a production geology role within a major indigenous or international oil & gas company.
• Must be currently employed in an actively producing oil and gas field(s) as a Production Geologist supporting ongoing field production operations.
• Strong experience in reservoir modelling, well placement, field development planning, and reservoir management.
